TOLD MRI validation of reversal of tumor hypoxia in glioblastoma with a novel oxygen therapeutic

Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is known to be a hypoxic tumor and hypoxia adversely affects response to radiation therapy. Patients were given DDFPe and carbogen prior to each fraction of a standard course or radiation therapy. MRI scans indicated that oxygen breathing with DDFPe administration improved tumor oxygenation.
